How to Apply
CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION
You must have -
• UK first degree (or equivalent)
If your degree is joint or other than the subject you wish to train in, it will be important that you supply transcript or evidence to illustrate that you have sufficient knowledge in that subject. As a general rule, your Degree must contain 50% of the subject you wish to teach. We only accept degrees from 2.2 and above.
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)
If you do not have these qualifications or are unable to supply your certificates you will need to take an equivalency test. Our local centre website is - www.equivalencytesting.com.
• Original Certificates for presentation at interview (essential)
• Overseas Qualifications
If you possess qualifications which were acquired in another country, you will need to have these verified by Naric (National Recognition Information Centre for the UK) www.naric.org.uk , before you apply. Where Schools' Certificates have been verified you will also need to provide the Certificates showing grades (e.g. West African Examination Council School Certificates, only grades 1-6 are equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above)

All applications must be made through the TDA Single Application System.

You will than have the option to select specific Providers. You will find our application form by selecting The Havering Teacher Training Partnership.
On receipt of your application Liz Connell, our Administrator, will acknowledge receipt and request copies of your Degree and GCSE Maths and English Certificates and Naric letter of equivalence, if applicable. You will also be asked to provide some further information.
